  2. Dodeca, (http://www.dodeca.eu) is an online shop, intending to sell crafts of inspiration, engaged with bestowal value. It is an officially authorized "Distance Selling" shop in accordance with Article 4 of Greek Law 2251/94, which incorporates all European Directives that regulate the Greek distance selling sector.

    Our eshop, is included in the register of suppliers of the Ministry of Development (General Secretariat for Consumer Affairs, Division of Consumer Protection) under the number: 494/10

    We consider that all visitors and users of Dodeca accept unconditionally and without exception the following terms of use. In any different case, feel free to communicate with us in order to express your valuable opinion regarding the practices we could possibly follow in order to upgrade our online services.

    2. By registering to Dodeca, you represent that according to the laws of the European Union or any other applicable jurisdiction and law, you are of legal age to form a binding contract and that you are not a person barred from receiving services or products.

      It is the user's responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of the password he/she chose for the account to Dodeca. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your password or account and ensure that you logout from your account at the end of each session.

    4. We are committed to applying our maximum effort in providing descent, specific and complete information about the artifacts we offer and -of course- about the operation of our eshop. However, errors are inevitable and we are more than happy to correct them.

      Your help towards this goal will be greatly appreciated. We would very much like you to urge us in correcting any errors we have unconsciously made during our data entry procedure. We will surely enjoy a creative communication on the basis of upgrading the quality of artwork and services we offer through Dodeca.

      We do not intend to blame it on any "typos" when the time comes to explain "why is that done this way?". We try hard to follow the time schedules we announce, to provide the services we offer, to bring joy with the presents we prepare for you and your beloving persons and -of course- the same applies for our partners.

      On this basis, we consider that any problems arising in the context of the availability of our artwork, or the delivery of your order including the extraordinarily odd nerve-breaking and stress-intensive situations stimulated by those minor technical problems that can cause difficulty in our communication and delay the receiving – confirming – dispatching of your order, are an inevitable part of our business activities.

      Although we dislike the existence of such problems, we treat them as an opportunity for self-improvement. We ask for your understanding and we hope that the solution we will try to offer in each unique situation, will compensate for the temporary inconvenience caused.

    However, electronic systems do have failures and therefore, along with our business partners, we are very keen on running after them, constantly.

    We do our best to present each piece of art in a way that makes our visitors feel like they were holding and examining each creation in their hands.

    Of course, this is not at all feasible to happen -in any way- despite the benefits that current technology provides to the majority of contemporary internet users.

    Therefore, each visitor is expected to be aware that although the sound and image in his monitor are trying hard to reach the level of a true experience, they are doomed in a certain degree of failure which -we like to believe that- is relieved by our mutual goodwill to conduct business through internet.

We really cannot even imagine that there is a person in earth so talented to copy a creation from some photographs or videos in a way that the new product is identical to the original like it was produced from the same "machine" and he wastes his time degrading the perspectives of his productivity from inspirational to mechanical.

    If you feel that you are an exception, we encourage you to copy something original, like a scenery, a landscape or a tree ...and we invite you to conduct business with us.

    As far as the music, the texts, the way that this web site is presented, (including graphics, trademarks, special web site character stimulated by the essence of the creators' spirit ... or whatever else concerns Dodeca) it is a product of "our" inspiration and we are the owners of the relevant copyrights.

    Unless otherwise stated, the copyrights of every creation hosted in our website belong to the named artists that -according to our best knowledge- have provided us the product of their original inspiration in a commercially sound manner.

    2. In order to log into Dodeca, it is necessary to provide your registered email address and the password you defined at the procedure of signing in. In case you have forgotten your password, please use the relevant link in order to receive a new automated and randomly created password.

    3. Signing in Top of the page
    4. Signing into Dodeca, is useful in case you would like to place an online order. In your account, you can also save the addresses of the recipients you would like to send presents to, you can review your current and previous orders, and -of course- you can review and modify the personal data we hold about you and about the recipients of the presents you send through our online shop.

      For your registration, we collect the following data:

      • Name
      • Surname
      • Full Address
      • Email
      • Telephone number (Optional)

      We would like to inform you that although you are free to modify your personal data at any time, every modification is recorded for safety reasons.

      If you wish to delete your account along with all related recordings we keep about it, please contact us at the address stated in the chapter called Contact Details. For more information, please read our privacy policy.

      In our server, we do not conclude payments through credit card. Therefore we do not keep any financial data related to you or your credit card. The only data we hold are referenced at the preceding paragraphs.

  13. All artwork presented in our web pages, -unless other specific per item information is provided- are kept in our warehouse and they are ready to sail towards their final destination indicated in your order.

    The ordering procedure includes four steps. A valid order, is the one which successfully concludes the fourth step of the checkout procedure.

    2. The steps of the checkout procedure are four and they will cater for the following questions to be answered:

      1. Who is receiving the present?

      2. Who is sending the present?
        (Ehm ... sorry ... who is paying?)

      3. One-page presentation of your order, is everything all right?

    3. Towards the Fourth Step Top of the page
    4. The third step of the checkout procedure provides a summary of every detail regarding your order. Hitting the continue button, will take you to the fourth step which is the step where everything concerning your order begins!

      If you have chosen to pay with credit card, you will be redirected to the relevant pages at the website of the service provider in order to conclude your payment. Upon successful completion, you will be redirected to Dodeca and finally reach the fourth step!


      Artwork Availability

      Only at the final fourth step of the checkout procedure, the gifts you have ordered are subtracted from the remaining stock in our warehouse and therefore they are kept safe for your order delivery.

      Placing a present in the shopping basket does not guarantee that it will be available throughout the checkout procedure.

      The stock control is performed at the fourth step of the checkout procedure.

      Therefore, it is possible for a present to be simultaneously in to multiple shopping baskets even if the "in stock" quantity is not adequate to cater for all the clients that can possibly reach the final fourth step of the procedure.

      In case that your shopping cart, contains a gift that has become "out of stock" before you concluded your order, you will be notified accordingly so you can delete or replace it before your order is completed.

    6. Through all the steps of the checkout procedure you can include your comments. Indicatively, these comments may concern:

      • The names of the senders, in case they are more than one person
      • The names of the recipients, in case they are more than one person
      • A personal message you would like to include in your present
      • The details for the invoice, in case you are placing an order in the name of a legal entity or a natural person with a professional Taxpayer Identification Number (VAT number). More details in the chapter called Tax Documents
      • Whatever you would like to inform us, relevant to your order.

    7. Communication concerning your order Top of the page
    8. Concluding the fourth step of the checkout procedure, you will automatically receive an email from Dodeca, which references the order you have just placed.

      Please check regularly your bulk email folder of your mailbox. If needed, we would greatly appreciate to mark all emails from Dodeca.eu as safe.

      During our communication, we will never ask you to email us any personal data more than the data you have already supplied us during your registration or during the checkout procedure, including the password for your account which is secret and you are the only person entitled to hold it.

      Since then, the updates of the status of your order, will be emailed to you until the order is completed.

      It is possible to call you in order to verify your order or to ask for a clarification about it in case this is not feasible through our email communication.

      Orders for which payment is pending for more than 10 days, will be nominated for cancellation.

  14. Sailing from Dodeca Top of the page

    2. All artwork sailed from our warehouse, are considered "presents". Consequently they are dispatched randomly "dressed" in one of the two present wrappings available to Dodeca.

      The route that each order follows in the European Continent is electronically tracked. Along with your order confirmation, we will also send you the tracking number of your order which will permit you to get instantly notified about its daily relocation.

      In case of inability to track your order with the tracking number we have sent you, please contact us in order to ask the delivery company for details about it. This procedure may take up to 3 working days.

    3. Who is Sending? Top of the page
    4. This is a very important information for Dodeca.

      We need the name of the person who is sending the present. If the sender is different than the recipient, those names will be included in the note that will follow your present as described in the chapter Sending Presents to a Third Person.

      If the senders are more than one, please include their names in the comments area!

      In case you would like to send your present anonymously, please consult the chapter Anonymous Shipping.

    5. Delivery Methods Top of the page
    6. There are multiple delivery methods according to the destination and the weight of your order and their cost depends on the time that will take for your order to be delivered.

      The cost of each delivery method, is stated at the shopping basket page, and at the first step of the checkout procedure.

      It is possible but not necessary, to include in our delivery methods -from time to time- options for Saturday delivery, specified dispatching day delivery, theatrical delivery. This depends on the terms and conditions we grand with our delivery service providers. In any case, all active delivery methods for the destination of your choice will be presented in the shopping cart page, and at the first step of the checkout procedure.

      The basic delivery methods are the following:

      Greece

      The delivery of the order can be performed with National Greek Post Service (EL.TA) where the recipient is notified to collect his present from the nearest post office or it can be performed with a courier service for a home delivery.

      In the second case, when the destination is a town considered "distant" (there is a relevant link where the sender can identify such cases) the simple courier delivery enables the recipient to collect his present from the nearest post office of the relevant delivery service provider.

      Home delivery for distant destinations is available as a separate delivery method and it may be priced differently.

      There are choices of "Cash on Delivery" service.

      European Countries

      The delivery of the order can be performed both with National Greek Post Service (EL.TA) and courier services for home delivery.

    7. Delivery Cost and Zones Top of the page
    8. The price of the delivery of each order, is related to the dispatching of all the contents of the shopping cart at the indicated address only.

      The cost of each delivery method, is related to the destination country and in some cases it is also related to the shipping zone within each country.

      When a country, does not contain any shipping zones, it is necessary to define the only available shipping zone in the relevant box form, which is the same as the name of the destination country.

    9. Times and Personal Information Required for the Delivery Top of the page
    10. Both the time needed to deliver the order and the relevant price, are indicated in the pages where the delivery methods are presented. The delivery times indicated, are the times that the delivery companies are committed to meet and it is their responsibility to achieve them.

      The data that the delivery companies ask in order to provide their services are the following:

      • Recipient’s name and surname
      • Full recipient’s address

      Recipient’s telephone number (Optional)

      The telephone number is useful in order to communicate with the recipient in case the delivery effort fails.

    11. Who is Receiving? Top of the page
    12. The answer to this question will facilitate us to send your order!

      If the sender is different than the recipient, those names will be included in the note that will follow your present as described in the chapter Sending Presents to a Third Person.

      If the recipients are more than one but located at the same address, please include their names in the comments area!

      1. Sending Presents to a Third Person Top of the page
      2. If the recipient of your order is a third person, we will include in the order a message printed in a laminated paper which will include the name of the sender and the name of the recipient, along with a personal message, if available.

        Alternatively, you can send us via post or courier the message you would like to include in your order.

        After the conclusion of your order, we will mail you all the relevant tax documents.

        Anonymous Shipping

        In case you would like to send a present anonymously, please communicate your wish through the comments of your order. We will respect your wish, but we will give the opportunity to the recipient to send you back a present or a message, without revealing your identity.

      3. Multiple Recipients Delivery Top of the page
      4. In case your present is addressed to multiple recipients in the same address, please include the names of the recipients in the comments area of your order.

        We will include a laminated paper with the names of the sender and the recipients along with a personal message if available. More details can be found at the chapter Sending Presents to a Third Person.

  15. Payment Issues Top of the page
  16. We would like to declare that all necessary procedures regarding payment, are carried by third parties like Banks, Money Transfer Services, or Delivery Services (Cash on Delivery is available only for deliveries in Greece).

    These service providers are entirely responsible for the payment procedure. We just notify them that you wish to pay us, and they respond to us whether the payment has been accomplished or not.

    Before you initiate your payment procedure, please advice the relevant policies that are followed by the entity you have chosen in order to send your payment to Dodeca, as we did before we initiate our cooperation.

    1. Who is Paying? Top of the page
    2. This is a very sensitive question. Ideally, the owner of the account, is the sender of the present and the person who pays for it. It is very important, at least two of those three roles, to be performed by the same person.

      No payment processing is performed in our web site. We cooperate with Banks and Money Transfer Services in order to have them receive the payment for us. Therefore it is guaranteed that each payment is legally conducted and of course accurately back traced from the relevant authorities for any legal reason.

      In case our credit card partners notify us of a transaction where a third party had illegally used a credit card in order to buy goods from our store, we will fully refund the value of the illegally bought product(s) to the legal credit card owner once we receive intact the product(s) we have sent.

    3. Tax Documents Top of the page
    4. Every transaction with Dodeca is validated with a cash register receipt.

      In cases where the buyer is a legal entity or a natural person with a professional Taxpayer Identification Number (VAT number) and special care must be taken as far as the tax documents are concerned, please include the following information in the comments of your order:

      • Taxpayer Identification Number (VAT number)
      • The name of the local Internal Revenue Service
        (applicable only for Greece, it is called Δ.Ο.Υ. in Greek)
      • The main business activity

    6. There are several payment methods available, depending on the origin country of the account owner.

      1. Payment at Store Top of the page
      2. Payment at store, can be performed if you have arranged to collect your order from Dodeca.

      3. Cash on Delivery Top of the page
      4. With this method, the recipient of the present is paying during delivery. This is a service only available to Greek customers.

        Please pay attention to chose a delivery method that includes "Cash on Delivery" in step 1, before you chose it as a payment method in step 2.

        When you deposit the relevant amount in our account, please notify us by sending the bank deposit receipt through email, stating the number of your order as it appears on the email sent to you upon completion of your order. (Please check regularly your bulk email folder)

        Upon verification of your deposit, we will dispatch your order.

      7. Paypal / Credit Card Top of the page
      8. We accept payments through the credit card payment reception servers of Paypal. Upon successful confirmation of your order -just after the third step- you will be redirected to the servers of Paypal where, through a safe SSL connection, where you will able to chose among two types of payment: Credit Card, or payment through your paypal account.

        When the above mentioned procedure is concluded, you will return to the fourth step of your order, which will confirm that the order is valid.

        Both Dodeca and the entity who performed the payment procedure, will send you a confirmation email about the successful conclusion of your order and the payment relating to this order.

        In our server, we do not conclude payments through credit card. Therefore we do not keep any financial data related to you or your credit card.

  17. Delivery and Returns Top of the page
  18. We will consider our transaction concluded, when the recipient of your presents opens the gift we delivered and feels satisfied.

    The safe packaging of the artwork we dispatch is our responsibility and our effort is to prepare your order in a way that its contents will reach their final destination, intact.

    In case you received a broken or damaged piece of art, please follow the instructions stated in the chapter called Returning the Damaged Artwork.

    In case you are not satisfied with the artwork you just received or in case you received a present that contains materials which are known to cause any kind of allergic symptoms to you, please contact us to return this present immediately, according to the procedure described in the chapter called Returning the Received Artwork

    1. Cancellation – Alteration of your Order Top of the page
    2. You can alter or cancel your order as long as it has not shipped from our store.

      It is not possible to alter it or cancel it once it has been delivered to the provider of the delivery service. After the dispatching, the order can only be returned as described in the chapter Returning the Received Artwork

    3. Returning the Received Artwork Top of the page
    4. It is possible to return a piece of artwork in order to ask for a refund or in order to buy something else. The period that such an activity can be validated, is 30 days after the delivery of the artwork you purchased.

      All shipping costs for returns and changes are paid by the sender. Before we accept an incoming package, we will check weather the artwork returned is in the same condition as it was when they sailed from our store. Please, include in the package you send, copies of the relevant tax papers we have sent you.

      In case that the artifacts we receive are damaged or cannot be sold as new, we will be unable to accept the return.

    5. Returning the Damaged Artwork Top of the page
    6. In case you have received artwork that is damaged or broken, please notify us immediately, sending the photos of the faulty items.

      We will contact you as soon as possible, in order to correct our mistake.

      Please, do not send any artifacts back before we establish a communication on this issue.

    7. Money Refund Top of the page
    8. In case you returned a piece of art according to the chapter called Returning the Received Artwork or in case you received a damaged piece of art as described in the chapter called Returning the Damaged Artwork, the buyer is entitled to ask for an immediate refund, equal to the value of the returned or damaged artwork.

      Alternatively, we can send you an one year Offer Coupon, equal to the value of the returned or damaged artifacts.

    9. No Artwork Reception Top of the page
    10. In case you have paid for an artifact that did not arrive to its destination within 20 working days and the delivery company has characterized it as "lost", we will fully refund the value of the artifact. In case the above mentioned period is greater than 30 working days we will refund you anyway.

      For each order, we will send you through email the tracking number of the shipment along with the address of the relevant web page where you will be able to track the gifts you have sent through Dodeca. This information will also be available at the web page of your account where your previous orders are listed.

      In case the web page of the courier service we use to ship your order is not updated, please, contact us in order to trace the shipment for you. In some cases -especially those that concern European shipments- tracking numbers change and we will have to acquire the new ones once they are available. This procedure, may take up to 3 working days to be accomplished.

  20. We will be glad to try amending anything that might cause discomfort while you are using our web site or while you are enjoying the artwork presentation or any of the services that we provide.

    We dedicate our best efforts to make our guests, our gift senders and our gift recipients, experience the best out of Dodeca. We feel certain that there is more room for development and we would be honoured to inspire us surpass our limits.

  22. The hand made artifacts that are presented in Dodeca are:

    • Decorative handicrafts
    • Low and medium priced hand made jewellery
    • Handmade, everyday utilitarian objects

    Buying through Dodeca you honour the inspiration and good will for artistic creation of the artists we support.

    Artistic creation cannot be guaranteed like an industry product.

    Our goal is to present in our shop the artifacts that reflect each artist's utmost effort to render your present durable in time, as long as its final recipient respects the purpose of use of the creation he has received as present.

    Dodeca is trying hard to provide detailed information about the materials that each creation has been made of, by asking the artists and referencing their answers in a detailed manner.

    We would very much like to be aware of its journey with you through the years and we will certainly give the available information to the artists in order to help them become better in their techniques.
